Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
